hshf reply - is there anyone out there that can help?
Great site! This has helped me ALOT for my history project! :D
I think your site is a really excellent resource . Well done! It would be great if you could devise some items for primary schools to use in particular. Keep up the good work.
This site is very useful for my report.
Great website you have.
I believe there is a reunion in May 2006 at the Norbreck Castle Hotel here in Blackpool for the A T S? My mother was in the ATS & when I saw this site I was filled with admiration/nostalgia even though I wasn't born till 1949! Even though my parents enlisted & gave up their teen years they always said 'they were wonderful times'! My father has now passed away, but mum is still alive & kicking at 81. I was sad when she said she had missed the booking to be part of the celebrations at the Norbreck due to having been in hospital. I am trying to find the organiser to see if there is still room for one more hero that gladly joined up & put her life in danger to give us the freedom we have today? Would the teenagers of today be so willing to put their aggressive attitudes to a good cause like join the forces, I wonder! Thank you to all who took part in world War 11, you have my deepest admiration. Miss. Johnson
As an evacuee with my young brother during WW11 and a volunteer in the Women's Land Army in WW11, , I found your site to be very interesting. It brought back lots of memories. I regret that my WLA certificates were lost. All that hard work has stood me in good stead as I am still dancing at 79. Keep up the good work. I have you in my 'favourites' now.
